Dublin – May 31, 2019
On behalf of the organisers, sponsors and association we would like to thank you for entering the Franke Keane BMW & Mini Irish Cruiser Racing National Championships 2019, hosted by the Royal St George Yacht Club. We look forward to welcoming you on the 7th June to what we intend to be a first class event with keen racing afloat and great craic on shore.

Afloat we will be in the capable hands of International Principal Race Office David Lovegrove and his team. Divisions will be split between two inshore fleets for windward/leeward and round the cans racing, while the coastal division will join an inshore fleet for the start and receive their own finish in Scotsman’s Bay taking in marks between Lambay Island and Bray head. You can now review the provisional divisions.
On shore we have some fun events lined up where you can test yourselves with the Harken Grinder Challenge and the Crew Class row off. We are set up to provide a great ambiance for relaxing and socialising with the Mount Gay Rum Tent and the Galway Hooker Beer Bar all soaked up with late night pizza from the Dough Kitchen Wagon. We are delighted to have Velvet DJs spinning the best beats for dancing. There are plenty of dining options to with a Regatta Dinner on the Saturday, and the BBQ and Curry Kitchen après sail. Tables for the Regatta Dinner and vouchers for the BBQ can be bought in the Race Office at registration.
We strongly recommend that you sign up to the online noticeboard and the WhatsApp channel to receive relevant information and notices during the event. The details you provide are retained only for the purposes of this years event and it does get deleted shortly after the event has concluded.

Additionally, arbitration using a slightly modified RRS Appendix T will be used during the event.
Finally, we are putting the final details to the Sailing Instructions and we expect to publish them online 2 days before the event.
